Automated CSSD
The CSSD in Svendborg has five IQ6 machines with associated loading and unloading tables, as well as a return hatch.
Svendborg CSSD currently operates with a case cart concept, where the staff packs the sterilized instruments and associated sterile disposable items into a cart dedicated to each specific surgical procedure.
The solution
This is an installation with automatic loading and unloading tables on the clean
and unclean side respectively.
Each machine has an associated automatic loading and unloading table, thereby
the personnel can avoid having to push and pull the heavy and warm racks in
and out of the machines.
The automatic unloading ensures that racks are removed as soon as the wash
cycle is complete, enabling the next load to start immediately. This creates a
smoother workflow and improves overall efficiency in the CSSD.

The expansion of Anicura has almost doubled the size of the facility, making it one of the largest veterinary surgical centres in Denmark.
The new facilities are state of the art and fitted with all the equipment you expect from a modern hospital – even for human standards.
The central sterile services department is a vital element when you are raising the bar, the way Anicura does. On a regular day 30 veterinary doctors will operate and treat patients, hereby producing a substantial amount of dirty instruments.
