The KEN Foundation
Charitable donations
We are committed to giving back to the local community that supports us and from which many of our employees originate. This is achieved through donations aimed at urban renewal and local public health initiatives. Additionally, we extend our support to national and international organisations with charitable objectives.
Since 1986, the KEN Foundation has contributed to NGOs such as Doctors Without Borders, the Red Cross, and initiatives targeting The Danish Cancer Society. In 2023, our donations supported the Danish Hospital Clowns, as well as the Danish Refugee Council’s efforts in Ukraine and the famine crisis in the Horn of Africa.
Profits for a purpose
KEN Hygiene Systems is owned by the KEN Foundation – a commercial foundation established in 1983.
The KEN Foundation aims to ensure the sustainability of KEN A/S, both as a financial entity and through a capable board, while also fulfilling its role as a charitable organisation. Consequently, our profits are reinvested in the company or allocated as donations and grants.
The KEN Grant
KEN Hygiene Systems seeks to remain among the best in the industry. This places demands on working with hygiene in the healthcare sector. Research and dissemination must continue. So development is ongoing. That’s why, every year since 1992, we have contributed by awarding the KEN Grant to an individual working in the healthcare sector.
The KEN Grant is our way of showing how much we value the work that is being done every day in the healthcare sector.
