Operation on wheels
Arthrex holds a fleet of mobile surgical labs where surgeons are educated and trained right next to their usual work space – for maximum convenience.
Each truck is fitted with the equipment of an operation room, where new techniques and products are introduced with hands-on experience. The lab staff includes an instructor and operation room staff and a lab manager, that makes sure everything runs smoothly.
The Solution
Involving KEN at an early stage of the process allowed for support from engineers and consultants, which turned out to be essential for process of the project.
An IQ3 Washer Disinfector was chosen for the high capacity, compact design and low consumption. Since water and power can be spare when traveling, the in-house R&D department at KEN created a custom made wash programme specifically for the Arthrex mobile labs
